What we do!
Garden and Life is a micro-farming technique that teaches people the basics of becoming self-sustainable through vegetable farming. This is available for people of all ages, genders, and cultures – Everyone is welcome! Garden of Life teaches the skills of raising vegetable crops on a small scale, in areas that would be deemed unsatisfactory for farming crop.
Through the utilization of a fundamental hydroponic technique, micro farmers can be self-sufficient and grow crops within a period of 8–12 weeks. And by implementing a crop rotation system, sufficient food can be grown to ensure that crops can be gathered weekly and surplus crops can be used to generate additional income.
The project is specifically designed for communities that lack an abundance of water and farming backgrounds. It does not require specialized farming equipment such as tractors, crop spraying systems, or other capital-intensive farming tools.
Due to the simplicity of the technique, it is possible to train micro-farmers and have their crops planted within a period of 48 hours.
